The Judicial Branch of Peru is an agency of the Republic of Peru consists of a hierarchy of institutions, who exercise the power to administer justice, which emanates from the people.
It is headed by President Cesar Eugenio San Martín Castro and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Peru, which has jurisdiction throughout the territory. The second hierarchical level is formed by the High Courts of Justice with jurisdiction over an entire judicial district. The third level is formed by the Courts of First Instance in whose jurisdiction is about the province. Then there are the peace courts with jurisdiction finally distrital.Y Magistrates' Court (not lawyers), charged with simple legal matters to resolve.
