Ucayali Region in Peru:
Ucayali is an inland region in Peru. Located in the Amazon rainforest, its name is derived from the Ucayali River. The regional capital is the city of Pucallpa.

The Ucayali Region is bordered by the Brazilian state of Acre on the east; the region of Madre de Dios on the southeast; Cusco on the south; Junín, Pasco and Huánuco on the west; and Loreto on the north.

The El Sira Communal Reserve is a protected area in Peru created on 22 June 2001 and located in three regions: the Huánuco Region (Puerto Inca Province), the Pasco Region (Oxapampa Province) and the Ucayali Region (Atalaya Province and Coronel Portillo Province).
Purús Communal Reserve:
The Purús Communal Reserve (Reserva Communal Purús) is a protected area in Peru located in the Madre de Dios Region and in the Ucayali Region.
